Authentic Hues is a Personal Color & Self-Discovery Studio,
guided by the belief that color can be a meaningful starting point for understanding oneself.
With the United States as the base of my life and career, and graduate studies in Scotland, I have spent nearly 30 years working in multicultural environments, including management roles in global companies. Through this experience, I’ve come to believe that self-understanding is the foundation for expressing one’s strengths naturally and sustainably.
After relocating to Japan in 2021, I encountered the philosophy of personal color through Color Lifelong Education (CLE), a nonprofit organization dedicated to color education. This approach goes beyond identifying “colors that suit you” and instead uses seasonal color characteristics to better understand an individual’s strengths, expression style, and inner tendencies—serving as an accessible entry point to self-understanding.
Drawing on my background in English communication and international business, together with this color-based framework, I founded Authentic Hues.
Through color, Authentic Hues supports deeper self-understanding—
connecting personal strengths and potential to the next step forward,
and walking alongside each individual through that process.
